Windward is leading the next paradigm shift in Cloud Management, AIOps, and Business Service Optimization and is looking for a world-class Director of Marketing to lead and manage marketing and lead generation efforts.  As the Director of Marketing, you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mindshare and adoption of Windward’s services across our most strategic customers and business partners.  Your responsibilities will focus on driving lead generation and thought leadership in the market. 

The ideal candidate will possess a business marketing background that enables them to create innovate marketing campaigns to engage with targeted accounts and prospects to create continual thought leadership and top-of-mind awareness with key clients and partners across the United States and within multiple vertical markets.  The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges, and to build and convey compelling customer and partner value propositions.
 
Job Description:
The Director of Marketing will create innovative lead generation programs to generate meetings with net new clients within each Windward Business Unit, to include targeted engagement with key prospects, executive dinners, and top-of-mind awareness.  This position will run content management efforts, including developing an editorial calendar, identifying blog writers, coordinating interviews with the editor, reviewing submissions, and gaining approval from Senior Management for release.  The position will perform the following duties:
  • Continually collaborate with Windward Senior Management and sales teams (stakeholders) to gain greater understanding of Windward solutions, client’s needs, partner engagement, and buying patterns
  • Develop and continually refine buyer personas for Windward solutions
  • Develop motivation and areas of interest for buyer personas
  • Create editorial calendars and content subject matters, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead the re-built of the windward.com website and related re-branding efforts
  • Develop key metrics and targeted goals for measuring campaigns and pipeline development
  • Develop requirements for Marketing Automation platform, integration with Salesforce is required
  • Evaluate, select, and recommend a Marketing Automation platform for running and measuring campaign program to targeted goals
  • Build a team of freelancers to augment the team to develop content and provide analyst support to continual refine messaging
  • Create lead generation campaigns (e.g., email and other means) and scoring to forward leads to the sales teams
  • Continually analyze lead generation campaigns to improve results and increase the overall sales pipeline
  • Create Marketing templates for Use cases
  • Meet with key client individuals within our accounts to better align Windward messaging
  • Work with our Strategic Partners for joint marketing campaigns
  • Brief the Senior Leadership Team on a bi-weekly basis of marketing efforts
 
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business field
  • 10+ years developing lead generation programs for Information Technology services or software companies in the areas listed above, as well as excellent program management and execution skills
  • Experience in developing engaging marketing campaigns and content management and thorough leadership strategies
  • Developed program metrics and analyzing for improvement
  • Worked with Senior Leadership in making recommendations for improving programs and making further investments to drive greater engagement and pipeline growth
  • Operated Marketing Automation platforms specifically integrated to Salesforce
  • Managed a freelance team of content developers, analysts, web designers, editors, and graphic designers to develop compelling and engaging campaigns that create pipeline growth
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

This position may require 25% travel (although this could vary up or down any given month)
